統計企業Statistaが発表したデータによると、ナイジェリアはビットコインと仮想通貨の採用において重要な国となっており、調査回答者の3人に1人が2020年に暗号資産を使用もしくは保有したと回答している。
調査によると、携帯電話ベースのピアツーピア支払の普及により、多くのナイジェリア人が仮想通貨に関心を示すようになっている。Statistaによれば、多くのナイジェリア人が最近、デバイスに仮想通貨支払アプリケーションをインストールしたと回答した。
