ビットコインの台頭で金が下落か、米CNBCの名物キャスターが仮想通貨シフトを指摘
1月8日に金（ゴールド）の価格が急落したことを受け、CNCBの名物投資番組『マッドマネー』のジム・クレイマー氏は、仮想通貨の台頭が金の下落の理由の一端ではないかと指摘している。ビットコイン（BTC）や仮想通貨がメインストリームに躍り出てきた兆候ではないかというのだ。
今週の米ワシントンDCにおける議事堂占拠事件といった大混乱が起こっている中、なぜ安全資産である金の価格が回復しないのか。クレイマー氏は、市場は見た目ほど混沌としていないとしつつ、資金が金ではなく仮想通貨に流れていると指摘している。
